Poison Ivy Hand Crafted Creations

Hello.  I'm Sabrina and I want to thank you so much for visiting our site. We have worked so hard on getting this business off the ground and we are very proud of the outcome. I have been making and selling jewelry since I was very young. I remember setting up a table in my parents front yard with signs posted up and down the street stating "Yard Sale". Among the things I had gathered to sell from inside of the house was my plastic, hand-made bracelets and necklaces. Needless to say no one ever bought anything so it became more of a hobby and a good gift idea. The hobby soon faded and I stopped making jewelry all together, until Michele bought me a tool kit with some beads and the dream started to become a reality. I sold a few pieces at work and  was getting rave reviews about what I had made. I took a couple of orders here and there and made a nice little bit of money, but everyone was telling me I should go bigger by doing shows and getting online. Unfortunately, the cost of these ventures did not allow me to do so. Once Michele became interested and started making her own jewelry, we eventually collaborated and put our pieces together. My ma has always been very crafty and she wanted to get in on the endevour...so here we are, Poison Ivy Jewelry (named after my beautiful Doberman Ivy!) As I said this is truly a dream come true for me. I love teaching but I have always wanted to earn a living by doing something creative. Art is a big part of who I am, either it be painting, drawing or just creating. I love what I do and I hope you do too! Thanks again for your support.  xoxo

Hi!  This is Michele (thats me on the right!) and I have been making things since I was a young girl.  I started making doll clothes for Barbie and progressed to embroidery for my hope chest.  Then came knitting, needlepoint, crewel work, and making most of my own clothes.  For a long time I did tole painting and sold many snowman creations but when Sabrina started making jewelry, my interest was sparked and I began to watch, wondering if I could do it too.  It was a little overwhelming at first because there are so many beautiful beads to pick from but as I worked on my first piece, I felt like jewelry making is where I can best express my creativity.  I feel like I have gone from being a crafter to being an artist.  It is exciting to think that someone across the country could be wearing a piece that I created.  Sabrina and I are so happy to be able to have this website and we hope that you will see a piece that you like!  We welcome any comments or special orders and would love to hear from you.

Hi I'm Evie, and I am very excited to be a part of this business and I want to thank you for coming to our site! I enjoy many things in my life... my children, Sabrina and Hoss, my two Dobermans, Eva and Cocoa, gardening in my yard,  Walmart (of course lol) and making crafts.  My time is limited because I work shift work, yet my daughter told me about her plans to start selling her jewelry online and she thought that it would be a good idea for me to get back into creating home decorations again, I agreed. I have always loved to sew and create things for others as well as myself. My hand crafted creations are pretty and simple and they will go with any kitchen color scheme. I have many different ideas and fabrics that I can combine together so if you do not see something you like e-mail me and I will create something special for you. Thank you again for visiting us and be sure you tell everyone you know to stop by as well.
